The Garter Stitch Blanket is coming along.

Here’s a small child for sale….I mean scale.

blanket (child for scale)

Yesterday morning I seamed up the first two sections because I was itching to see how it would look. The long pink section was so unwieldy that I needed to tame it. I am so pleased with how it all fits after sewing it up. It’s gonna be awesome.

I told Gerald not to tell me if he didn’t like it. But really, how could he not like it?

One of the best things about this project has been seeing how different colors, ones I wouldn’t expect, work together so wonderfully.

The blue sections are even better.  Stay tuned!  I’m thinking that this actually might be finished for Father’s Day!!

The blanket is beautiful! It kind of reminds me of the Doctor Who scarf I knitted for my husband–especially in terms of how colors you wouldn’t expect to work together do anyway. Great job! 🙂
