The kids and I are on vacation in Buffalo visiting my parents. I suspect they only invited me because I bring the children. I don’t mind because there’s a pool. Before I left, I made the finishing touches on a free cowl pattern. Presenting…..the Zigzag Cowl!

I put the pattern over there on the sidebar with the Dino Chart (also free) and the hat pattern (five bucks). The easiest way to get your paws on it is RIGHT HERE ON RAVELRY! Queue it up, download it, store it in your library, save it until you get a nice soft skein of yarn (175 yds of worsted weight will do ya). Enjoy!

The pattern is a one-page download. The directions include a chart and tips for adjusting for any gauge. If you have any questions or comments about the pattern (or find any boo-boos) just drop me an email or comment. Also, thanks to Lisa for her input!

Before I left for Buffalo, I also helped a friend get set up on Ravelry. See, I’ve been singing the praises of the Rav for some time now. I think most all of the knitters at my knitting group have their Ravelry accounts now, but Cindy is a designer and wanted some help getting her patterns listed. Last week we finally got together and got her patterns uploaded to her Ravelry store. See them all here! I especially love this sock pattern.

That about covers it! I’m sort of away from the computer more than normal, but I still check my email at least once a day. If you need me I’ll be doing things like this:

what i'll be doing

Going to ballgames and hanging with my brother (Uncle Eddie)!  Be back soon!

Hey that’s gorgeous! Shilasdair sell some wonderful handspun cashmere – I think I know what a few ladies in my family are going to get for Christmas this year…
