Thank you!
It has been a week and a half since my birthday, but I must share with you all the knitterly love came my way when I turned 28.
Lisa gave me note cards:
Her mom made them! And I love note cards! The perfect gift. Thanks, Lisa!
My mother-in-law treated me to the Brandon Mably Color Workshop I told you about in my last post.
My husband gave me big smiles, a full day of daddy duty (for the first time ever with both the kids) while I went to the knitting workshop, and the new Holiday IK. Sure, I bought the issue myself and told him about it later, but that, my friends, is the best way to get exactly what I want from him.
My friend Pier gave me something entirely non-knitty, but perfect nonetheless:
The complete series!!!! Perfect to watch while (knitting, and) waiting for the movie to come out.
And yesterday, waiting in the mail pile that I found upon returning from the wedding in CT: YARN!!
Silky Sock in the color Painted Desert from The Great Adirondack Yarn Company. A gift from my sister-in-law!
Thank you all! It was the best yarny birthday I could have asked for.
Now, I’m off to sew costumes frantically, then try to tidy the house because my parents and sister will be arriving any moment now…yikes!

Nothing beats a yarny good birthday!
Hooray! i’m so glad you’ve been adequately celebrated.
Wonderful gifts! Glad you had a great birthday!
A perfect birthday!
Great birthday stuff! Nice husband wrangling, too.
Lucky lucky you! So glad you had a nice birthday!
Sounds fantastic!
And happy Halloween!
Great B-day gifts. The handmade card is super cute. And oh my what gorgeous yarn!
Glad you had such a great birthday, and Happy Halloween!
Happy belated birthday! What great presents! And that color workshop looks fantastic!
I have decided that I am going to try and hold off on the Halloween sewing until LS can articulate his particular need for a particular costume. I can’t take in any more frantic! I hope your Halloween was a fun one!
